We source our portfolio from a bevy of extraordinary producers who craft artisan quality wines. The majority of our wineries from this part of the Southern Hemisphere come to us through John Larchet of The Australian Premium Wine Collection (now a part of John’s own World Wine HeadQuarters). Irish born, raised and educated, John Larchet wanted to share with the world his love of small family-owned estate bottled producers he discovered during years of living and working in Australia. He has now spent nearly two decades traveling and tasting in Australia in the elusive pursuit of quality and value. His search has led to a portfolio of wineries that showcase their regions and that consistently deliver the utmost pleasure for the price including the jewel in the crown, Elderton Estate from Barossa.

Larchet has now expanded his focus with his newly-name enterprise, the World Wine HeadQuarters and starting in New Zealand has begun to import into the United States inspired wines sourced from around the world that are a strong expressions of place including Isabel Estate, one of the last family-owned and managed properties in Marlborough.

“Larchet’s own palate and sensibility are at the heart of The Collection, so it comes as no surprise that it bears his aesthetic signature. White or red, cool climate or warm, the Larchet wines I’ve encountered are graceful, with a fine balance of pleasing, forward fruit; lively acid; and varietal integrity – albeit with an Australian twist.” – Stephen Meuse, The Boston Globe

Regarding Elderton Estate…“ The jewel here is the 8 acre estate vineyard planted in 1894 by Samuel Elderton Tolley (one of the largest 100+ year old vineyards on the planet) that produces the Command Shiraz, with the 66 year old Ashmead Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard also giving exceptional fruit. Since 2003 they’ve had their own winery and now produce around 40-50000 cases per year with winemaker Richard Langford adeptly forging a range of predominately red wines from the good value end right up to the sought-after collectibles.” – Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Advocate

From Australia, we also have the great fortune of representing the fine wines of Mollydooker created by, as Robert Parker has stated, “two of South Australia’s finest winemakers”, Sarah and Sparky Marquis. These extraordinary full-flavored wines arrive each year and quickly sell out.
