Italy
Our Italian portfolio is primarily sourced from the superb portfolios of wine from Marc de Grazia and Giorgio Rivetti. We have imported the de Grazia wines since 1991 and over that time have expanded our selections to include representatives from all major and some less well known appellations. Marc de Grazia was selected in 1998 by Robert Parker as one of the “20 most influential wine personalities of the past 20 years”. The producers work with Marco and his agronomists and winery consultants to ensure the vines yield their best possible fruit and are transformed into extraordinary wines.
Giorgio Rivetti is widely known for his extraordinary Barbaresco, Barolo, Moscato and Barbera and the exceptional wines he is now producing in western Tuscany. In addition, Giorgio now represents a number of small, extremely high quality producers from other appellations.
Gordon and Doris personally travel to VinItaly every year to taste and select the wines that we purchase, and have visited most of the producers in their cantinas multiple times.
